The Woodworking Shop - About Us

For three generations, the Peters family has served Hampton Roads as family oriented, customer focused providers of quality cabinetry. My grandfather began his cabinet shop in downtown Hampton near the Copeland Industrial Park. After returning from college, it seemed appropriate that my father would open Pepperdine Cabinet Supply right next door, sharing his time between the two businesses.

In 1986, as my grandfather retired, my father opened The Woodworking Shop in the Denbigh/Fort Eustis area of Newport News. He envisioned creating beautiful, custom wood cabinetry and carrying on the tradition begun so many years ago by his father. As the years passed he expanded the business to include custom commercial cabinetry and showroom production for some of the biggest kitchen and bathroom suppliers in our area.

I strive to continue fulfilling my family’s proven history of serving our community by building quality, solid wood cabinetry to meet your needs and to help make your home improvement dreams a reality.
